Trillium Staffing is hiring an Electrical Test Technician in East Peoria, IL! The Electrical Test Technician is responsible for testing and validating industrial electrical equipment to ensure it meets quality and performance standards. This entry-level role involves reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting circuits, and working closely with production and engineering teams. The technician will assist in testing electrical systems both with and without power and help design simple tools to support the testing process. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to build a career in industrial electronics and controls. Responsibilities will include: •Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay logic. •Testing and validating control systems and circuits based on defined sequences of operation. •Troubleshooting electrical issues using meters, power supplies, and other test equipment. •Verifying the operation of circuits with and without power. •Supporting design improvements and resolution of technical issues. •Loading PLC programs and verifying correct system operation. •Working with engineering teams to generate test reports and document findings. •Communicating with customers during Factory Acceptance Testing. •Other duties as assigned. The Electrical Test Technician is a 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. Pay ranges from $25-$30/hour based on experience. This position is full-time and direct hire. Apply now! Qualifications •Associate's degree OR 5+ years of experience in industrial electronics or commercial wiring •Ability to read and interpret AC/DC schematics and electrical diagrams •Basic knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic •Experience with volt/ohm meters, meggers, and other electrical test tools •Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail •Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Familiarity with NEC and NFPA safety standards preferred Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
