SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Ship Building Industry

Location: Marinette, WI

Duration: Permanent / Full-Time

Our client, a global Defense Manufacturer for the US Navy, is looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to their Marinette, Wisconsin team.

The Senior Project Engineer determines the technical requirements, scope of work, schedule, and manpower needs across all engineering disciplines, aligning with company objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) of the project and its relevant KPIs, including documents, drawings, PTS, etc.
  • Develop the Engineering Project schedule and budget according to the overall project schedule, including CDRLs, drawing schedules, and manufacturing work packs.
  • Manage resources related to the assigned project, establishing resource requirements based on the project bid and preliminary production timelines, and updating as the project develops.
  • Develop and lead the project engineering team, hold kickoff and regular meetings, and review specifications and contracts.
  • Coordinate with outside providers and project customers to resolve technical, schedule, and testing issues.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of design experience, or in Naval Architecture with at least 5 years of broad-based ship design experience.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements such as ABS, 46 CFR, IEEE, and U.S. Coast Guard standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory or management experience; additional degrees are a plus.
  • Strong time management, organizational, communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
