Our portfolio includes student housing, market-rate, and affordable housing across Ithaca and Cortland, NY.We're looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Property Manager to join our growing team. This role supports the daily operations of our communities, assists with leasing and resident services, and helps ensure that everything runs smoothly. If you're organized, a great communicator, and passionate about helping people feel at home-you might be a perfect fit.What You'll DoResident & Leasing SupportGreet and assist prospective residents in person, by phone, and via emailConduct property tours and help applicants through the leasing processSupport application processing and lease preparationAssist with move-in and move-out coordinationHelp respond to resident concerns and service requests in a timely, friendly mannerSupport renewal outreach and lease signing for returning residentsEnforce community rules and policies through notices and communicationProperty OperationsHelp oversee the day-to-day operations of one or more propertiesMaintain organized records for tenants, leases, and compliance paperworkCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and the maintenance team as neededSupport property inspections, turnovers, and seasonal prepAssist with organizing resident events and community engagement effortsFinancial & Administrative TasksAssist in collecting rent payments and issuing receiptsHelp monitor delinquencies and send payment remindersEnter resident data and payment information into the property management system (AppFolio)Support the Property Manager with reporting and budget trackingMaintain supply inventories and order office materials as neededWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in property management, leasing, or customer service preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsTech-savvy with Microsoft Office or Google Suite (AppFolio experience is a plus)Comfortable working independently and as part of a teamAble to handle sensitive resident issues with professionalism and discretionReliable transportation requiredAvailable for occasional evenings or weekends during peak periods like move-inWhy Join Us?Nest Communities is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
