Position Overview:
The Seasonal Assistant District Manager (ADM) is responsible for supporting business operations, providing leadership development, and gaining comprehensive understanding of key business components such as recruitment, marketing, employee development, operations, training, profitability, and team leadership. This role manages daily activities of seasonal team members across approximately twenty (20) or more stores and/or kiosks. The position involves handling sensitive, confidential information and requires a good working knowledge of the business.
This is a full-time seasonal role, starting on September 22, 2025, and ending around April 25, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-unit retail locations within the district, collaborating with the District Manager to optimize operations, increase revenue, and improve profitability.
- Lead recruitment efforts, conduct interviews for seasonal employees, and oversee team onboarding and transitions.
- Monitor employee performance, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with HR on training, development, and employee relations issues.
- Ensure all locations meet company standards for setup, technology, supplies, and maintenance, working with property managers and landlords as needed.
- Build the business by retaining clients, attracting new ones, and enhancing brand awareness.
- Address client inquiries and resolve complaints regarding policies and procedures.
- Guide employees in handling complex issues and resolving escalated disputes.
- Oversee financial performance metrics, including GL & P&L, and meet district goals related to revenue, cash control, and tax return processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent business experience; management or tax preparation/accounting coursework preferred.
- At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience with a passion for leadership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with innovative thinking to impact results.
- Tax knowledge is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation, insurance, and a valid drivers license.
- Proficiency with email, internet, HR systems (e.g., Dayforce), Word, and Excel; knowledge of accounting or tax software is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure, including evenings and weekends during the season.
