NOW HIRING a property manager We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a student housing community. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of balancing operational efficiency with a focus on resident engagement and academic-year turnover timelines. WhaT you Will do:
- Oversee all aspects of the student housing property, including leasing, occupancy, rent collection, resident relations, and maintenance operations
- Supervise and support on-site staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Ensure the property operates in compliance with fair housing regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Coordinate move-in/move-out processes aligned with academic calendars, including pre-leasing and summer turnovers
- Implement marketing strategies to maintain high occupancy and promote the student community
- Manage the annual budgeting process, control expenses, and review monthly financial reports
- Address student and guarantor concerns in a professional, timely manner
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure curb appeal, safety, and maintenance standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with campus organizations, university housing offices, and student residents
Position requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in student housing
- 2+ years of experience in property management
- Proven leadership and staff supervision skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Proficiency with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, or similar)
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak leasing and turnover seasons
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and landlord-tenant regulations
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree or CAM/COS designation preferred
