Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Job Description & Requirements

- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for rehabilitation patients.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and manage IV therapies according to physician orders.
- Assist patients with mobility training, strengthening exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Operate and utilize lift equipment safely to assist patients with transfers and positioning.
- Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to coordinate rehabilitation services.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, safety, and home care after discharge.
- Float to Med-Surg as needed.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and documentation standards using Meditech EMR.
- Adults and geriatrics with neuro, trauma, burn recovery, wound care needs, gait training, and strength rehabilitation.
1–2 years of acute care experience (rehab, Med-Surg, or LTAC accepted)
