Radiology Technician Extern

Performs radiologic examinations that the employee has been deemed competent to perform as a radiology student. All images are checked by a Registered Technologist PRIOR to completion of study and sending to PACS (Picture Archiving Communications System). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School graduate or its equivalent. Currently enrolled in a Radiology Student program. Must have completed first year of the student program with passing grades. Remains current with Radiology competencies. Maintains hospital wide mandatory education. Experience: No previous work experience required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Follows the Medical Centers customer service standards. License/ Certification/ Registration: Meets the American Heart Associations standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Receives direct supervision from a Registered Technologist while on duty.
