Role Summary:

The Field Application Specialist will serve as a critical link between Clarapath's customers and internal teams, playing a vital role in driving adoption of our flagship device, SectionStar. This position combines deep technical understanding of laboratory workflows with the ability to effectively communicate value propositions and support customer success. The ideal candidate will assess client needs, lead device training sessions, and support product implementation while also gathering meaningful feedback for future development. This role is best suited for a histology expert with strong sales and communication skills who is energized by helping laboratories modernize through robotics. We are looking for a solutions-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with prospective customers to evaluate their current lab workflows, identify pain points, and position Clarapath solutions accordingly
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Clarapath's medical robotic device, SectionStar, with deep knowledge of its capabilities, technical features, and clinical value
  • Lead on-site and virtual device demonstrations, workflow assessments, and user training sessions across various modes and use cases
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure customer success, from first contact through implementation
  • Gather and communicate user feedback to the product and engineering teams, helping to shape future product enhancements and innovation roadmaps
  • Represent Clarapath at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, serving as a trusted technical advisor

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on histology or histotechnology experience, ASCP certification required
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory equipment sales or field applications
  • Demonstrated success in presenting and communicating complex scientific or technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Comfortable in customer-facing roles with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnights
  • Passionate about innovation in medical technology and improving patient care through smarter lab workflows
