Our client, a growing apparel brand, is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the merchandising team in day-to-day tasks, including sample management, data entry, and sales reporting.
- Assist in the development of new products, fabrications, and styles by coordinating with design and production teams.
- Conduct trend and market research to provide insights on consumer preferences and competitive analysis.
- Help prepare sales presentations and line sheets for internal and retailer meetings.
- Organize and maintain merchandising materials, including fabric swatches, product samples, and assortment plans.
- Track and manage product samples throughout the development and production process.
- Analyze sales performance and inventory reports to identify best-selling styles and potential growth opportunities.
- Support the team in reviewing and providing feedback on product samples during the production process.
- Assist with maintaining product data and assortment information in PLM systems.
- Provide administrative support to the merchandising team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or a related field (internship experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of merchandising trends and retail business operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
