Controller
Job Summary: The Controller will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role involves overseeing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate and lead external audits, ensuring the timely resolution of audit findings.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
