POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Behavior Analyst will provide services to facilitate improved behavior and skill acquisition in children with autism, other developmental disabilities, and behavioral difficulties. Responsibilities include direct intervention, consulting with staff, and training parents and caregivers. The role serves children through the Early Intervention program, The Committee on Preschool Special Education, or school-based Special Education.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Deliver specialized instruction and training for children recommended for or prescribed Applied Behavior Analysis therapy.Consult with classroom teachers to help adjust learning environments and instruction delivery.Assess and document student progress via formal and informal assessments, curriculum-based assessments, functional behavior assessments, and data collection.Write daily logs, quarterly progress notes, and annual review reports.Conduct and document Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).Provide parent and caregiver training, support, and education.Attend IFSP/CPSE/CSE meetings as needed.Supervise and guide Registered Behavior Technicians.Conduct training and professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals.Perform other related duties as required.EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license in the state of practice.JOB SKILLS:
This role involves working with clients who may exhibit aggressive behaviors, requiring the use of appropriate physical interventions to prevent harm.COMPLIANCE:
