About the RoleAs a Traveling Superintendent at Valor Contracting , you will be responsible for safety compliance, subcontractor coordination, craft supervision and production, scheduling, material handling, daily reports, quality control, training and QA/QC. The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day operations on our construction sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Position LogisticsHave a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience
Bring 10+ years of experience in industrial construction, including 3+ years in site supervision
Hold a valid driver's license and current OSHA 10, CPR, and First Aid certifications
Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations
Are proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite
Have working knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and project documentation
Can confidently interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
Lead and motivate crews and subcontractors with strong leadership and team management skills
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Solve problems effectively and make informed decisions under pressure
Conduct site inspections and enforce safety and quality standards consistently
Are highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to avoid delays or rework
Are physically capable of navigating active construction sites, including climbing ladders and walking uneven terrain
