Job Description :
BASIC PURPOSE:Oversee and manage all aspects of daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the facility. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory levels through regular audits and system updates, supervising and mentoring warehouse staff to promote productivity and teamwork, and enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Continuously analyze and refine logistics workflows to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely and accurate distribution of goods to meet customer and business demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, 3PL, transportation, Honda and customer service, to align warehouse activities with broader organizational goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operations Management:
- Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping of products.- Implement and maintain warehouse procedures and policies.- Monitor and improve warehouse layout and workflow for efficiency.- Understand all Customers specific requirements.- Responsible for meeting Customer 100% on time delivery requirements.
  • Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).- Work with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) to ensure that audits are being conducted and cycle counts take place.- Support and assign resources for the SEWS Physical Inventory.
  • Team Leadership:
- Supervise facility personnel for compliance with company policies and corrective actions.- Delegate tasks effectively.- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure a safe work environment by all SEWS Internal Safety rules, SWS and OSHA compliance. Participate in all Safety activities and respond in a timely manner to all Safety related matters.- Enforce safety protocols.- Maintain cleanliness and 5s organization of the warehouse.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance,budget, inventory levels, and staff productivity.- Responsible for monitoring and reporting all Operation KPIs, create, maintain and update Operation results and metrics- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • 3PL Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the 3PL provider.- Monitor 3PL performance against SLAs (Service Level Agreements).- Resolve issues related to shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and returns.- Collaborate with 3PL to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned to support the MBU and SEWS Alabama Customer Service Center, contributing to overall operational effectiveness and team success.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 8-10 years progressive experience
  • 2-4 years of middle management supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
