The successful candidate will provide leadership, strategic direction, and tactical oversight for our Manufacturing Site in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Incumbent will ensure achievement of site, Global Manufacturing & Supply, and Zoetis goals and objectives in accordance with FDA regulations, cGMP, EPA/OSHA agency regulations, Zoetis policies and procedures, Zoetis Quality standards, budgetary commitments, and financial regulations, fully aligned with Zoetis Core Beliefs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and tactical oversight for the site; ensure full achievement of Site, Global Manufacturing & Supply, and Zoetis goals and objectives.
- Provide direction and leadership for site operations, including Manufacturing, Quality Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, EHS, and coordination with enabling functions supporting the site (HR, Finance, Procurement, ITS).
- Collaborate with global business leaders, external network, customers, and regulatory agencies to advance site and network objectives.
- Partner with the business to create and enhance revenue, ensure competitive costs, and maintain supply reliability.
- Develop and sustain a highly effective organization through organizational design, workforce planning, talent acquisition and development, training, performance management, mentoring, coaching, leadership development, compensation planning, rewards, and recognition.
- Establish and maintain a culture exemplifying Zoetis Core Beliefs.
Consistently demonstrate Zoetis quality and compliance standards, safety, financial adherence, Operational Excellence, and colleague engagement and retention.
- Analyze financial issues and opportunities, making decisions to achieve short and long-term objectives for the site, network, and company.
- Engage with colleagues, managers, and senior leaders across multiple disciplines and sites, including manufacturing, commercial operations, marketing, planning, finance, Quality, HR, operational excellence, EHS, purchasing, logistics, etc.
- Interface with customers, regulatory representatives, vendors, trades workers, contractors, designers, consultants, and other external resources, including the public.
- Supervise managerial, professional, administrative colleagues, and contractors directly; indirectly oversee hourly production, maintenance, technical resources, Quality staff, and contractors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical discipline (Biochemistry, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related); Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years in biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least five years in a senior leadership role managing and developing managers.
- Experience in multiple facilities and functional areas is advantageous.
- Experience in Animal Health strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work environment includes office and manufacturing settings, with exposure to moving mechanical parts. Use of PPE such as hard hats, steel-toed shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing is required. Must meet respirator fit testing requirements.
