Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Product Analyst to join the Product Team. This role is essential for optimizing product economics, supporting key initiatives, conducting research, and analyzing data to enhance product performance. The analyst will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all product-related data and KPIs for senior management, reporting to the Director of Product Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build business cases and analyze product economics to maximize profitability.
  • Support product launches and implementations.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify opportunities.
  • Perform client research to understand pain points.
  • Develop monthly reports on product performance using volume, revenue, and cost metrics.
  • Extract and validate data from various systems, liaising with stakeholders to ensure data integrity.
  • Automate routine reports to improve efficiency.
  • Identify key trends and areas for improvement through data analysis.
  • Coordinate between Relationship Management and external stakeholders for client onboarding of treasury products.
  • Analyze revenue and billing to improve income ratios.
  • Assist with initiatives like re-pricing, collateral material, and product campaigns.
  • Provide ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Maintain billing rules within the billing system and review monthly billing as the SME.
  • Support clients with product-related inquiries.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of banking or relevant internship experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate updates effectively.
  • Basic understanding of banking products and services preferred.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data models, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH); familiarity with SQL and Power BI is a plus.

The starting salary range for this full-time role is $77,000 to $87,000, dependent on experience and other factors. The salary is subject to change.

Work Model

Effective February 18, 2025, the role will follow a hybrid work schedule, requiring three or more days in the office per week, with Fridays remote, unless business needs dictate otherwise.
