The U-Haul Holding Company (Reno) office is tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of the Company's debt and financing: including coordinating approvals with Sr. Management and the Executive Finance Committee, procurement of debt, managing relationships with the banking/lending industry, negotiating loan documents, and making payments and any required reporting associated with the debt.
    • Specifically, the Company's debt spans multiple assets and structures including Corporate, Equipment/Fleet, and Real Estate.
  • Manage and process all Treasury activities of the Company which includes coordinating with multiple departments to ensure any electronic payments are made in accordance with internal and external requirements.
  • Providing detailed and comprehensive reports for Senior Management, specifically in regard to the Financing and Treasury functions/programs of the Company.

Position Overview

U-Haul Holding Company is seeking a Financial Analyst to use analytical and computer-based ability to assist with duties at all levels of the department. This includes thorough and detailed analytical reports, managing and coordinating payment and debt reporting, and producing and maintaining periodic reports for management.

Minimum education and/or experience

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field and two years of professional experience in financial planning and analysis in the public or private sectors.

Specialized training, certifications, and/or other special requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server to write and modify queries.
  • Expert proficiency using Microsoft Excel to develop financial and operational models.
  • Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

Knowledge required

The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills and be proficient in general finance concepts including, but not limited to:

  • Comfortable communicating in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • General understanding of GAAP financial statements
  • Weighted average cost of capital (WACC)
  • Discounted Cash Flow Analysis (DCF Analysis)
  • Net Present Value (NPV) & Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
