Position Overview and Primary Duties

Inspects, tests, maintains, repairs, and installs various types of alarms and electronic systems, including fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, automatic doors, electric gates, vehicle traffic light controllers, and others as needed, following manufacturers' specifications and NFPA standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Valid state driver's license
• Ability to obtain a flight line driving permit
• CPR Certification
• NICET Level 2 certification or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Five years of similar experience supporting a military base or civilian installation
• Knowledge of addressable fire alarm systems, suppression systems, FM radio transmissions, and security systems
• Ability to work on high ladders and elevated places
• Working knowledge of solid-state and conventional security control systems
• Effective communication skills and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an eighth-grade level, especially for safety and environmental warnings
