ZGF is hiring aSenior Landscape Architect15+ years of experience. You'll be based out of their office inPortland, USA . This is an opportunity to lead interdisciplinary teams of landscape architects and urban designers to deliver landscape architectural and urban design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest .ZGFis looking for someone with the ability to lead multiple projects in various stages of development simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary client contact, representing ZGF and leading the delivery of successful landscape architecture and urban design projects
- Achieve strong client satisfaction and meet contract and financial performance goals on complex, multi-year contracts
- Define project success with clients and stakeholders, establishing clear goals, strategies, and execution plans
- Prepare or oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, and contract negotiations to ensure smooth project delivery
- Collaborate with leadership to manage change and escalate critical issues as needed
- Lead quality management to ensure accurate, complete technical documentation
- Cultivate and maintain business development relationships to support firm growth
- Mentor junior staff, fostering development in design, leadership, and project management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program; licensed to practice in Oregon
- 15+ years of experience in landscape architectural design, documentation, and construction administration on large multidisciplinary projects
- Proven leadership on multi-year, multi-task projects and district- or campus-scale master plans
- Skilled in managing multiple projects across development stages while maintaining design integrity in collaboration with architects and engineers
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex project strategies visually and in writing
- Proficient in design and project management tools such as Revit, Autodesk 360, Rhino, SketchUp, Bluebeam, SmartSheet, and MS Project
- Known for client satisfaction and building long-term working relationships
- Experienced mentor with a successful track record of coaching and developing junior staff
