We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large projects. Responsibilities include participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. The successful candidate will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and work controlling documents in the Prolog database, manage material status reports, process requests for information, and oversee meeting minutes.

Location: You can be located anywhere in the US, provided you are willing to travel to client projects on a long-term basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities support construction schedules and comply with requirements. Provide technical support including planning, design interpretation, and resolving design conflicts.
  • Resource Management: Manage project engineering personnel and subcontractors, coordinate with onsite departments to resolve issues and ensure quality.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project teams.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person on projects, potentially managing small to medium-sized projects.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • At least 3 years of construction engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Technical knowledge of construction, procurement, project controls, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
