AXIS is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist – Cyber, Media, and Crime Claims to join our North America Claim Team. The role involves managing primary and excess claims arising from policies issued to AXIS Global Markets Cyber insureds. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing claims including investigation, analysis, and coverage evaluation.
  • Reviewing claims to determine the nature of the loss, coverage, and scope, guiding settlement strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, including legal and claims professionals.
  • Collaborating with legal teams on disputes, litigation, arbitration, and coverage issues.
  • Formulating claims strategies, managing outside counsel, and controlling costs.
  • Communicating with senior executives, brokers, reinsurers, and underwriters regarding claim trends and large losses.
  • Leading claim audits, analyzing coverage trends, and developing processes for handling complex claims.

    • Key skills and qualifications include:

    • 5-10+ years of claims management experience in Casualty and/or Specialty Lines.
    • Leadership, organizational, and legal experience preferred.
    • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree required; JD a plus.
    • Experience with complex coverage analysis, evaluation, and reserving.

    This is a mid-senior level, full-time position based in New York, NY, with travel requirements. We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000–$155,000, and a culture aligned with our core values of People, Decisiveness, Excellence, and Stronger Together.
