Job Overview

Summit Technologies is seeking a VMware vSphere Systems Administrator with enterprise-level experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in planning and leading VMware migrations, optimizing VMware for SAN storage utilization, implementing VMware with various storage types, and migrating large numbers of virtual servers to new SAN arrays without impacting users. Skills in using monitoring tools like vCenter Operations Manager, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent analysis/troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vSphere backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up.
• Create recovery media and recycle/send media off-site as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• VMware Certified Professional on vSphere 5 (VCP5) or vSphere 6 (VCP6) certification.
• A+ certification for Information Assurance.
• Technical Level I (IAT-I) or higher.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
• Windows 7 – Configuration certification (or higher).
• Pass a background check (NACI).
