Position Responsibilities

The Field Project Engineer (PE) manages onsite project engineering, documentation, accounts payable, and material tracking. They also oversee Summer PE Interns, fostering learning and growth to develop future full-time PEs. Responsibilities include:

  • Onsite engineering and documentation control
  • Managing accounts payable and material tracking for items like concrete, aggregate, cable, rebar, piles, modules, trackers, etc.
  • Tracking progress and quantities, maintaining logs and maps
  • Participating in daily POD meetings, maintaining notes, and updating schedules
  • Providing drawings and documentation updates to site staff
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and transmittals
  • Conducting SWPPP and SPCC inspections, maintaining logs
  • Processing vendor payments and purchase orders
  • Supporting project meetings with agendas and notes
  • Documenting weather and wind notifications
  • Capturing progress photos
  • Performing additional duties to support project success
Skills

Applicants should ideally possess or develop skills in:

  • Microsoft Office and Viewpoint or similar software
  • CPM scheduling
  • Effective communication and technical writing
  • Environmental inspection and reporting
Personal Attributes

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
