Position Overview

A Senior accountant maintains financial records, prepares reports, and assists in analysis, working closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, prepare and input journals and adjusting entries in accordance with IFRS.
• Analyze P&L accounts, perform variance analysis vs budget and prior periods.
• Assist with lease accounting under IFRS 16, input related entries.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet and P&L accounts.
• Prepare and review monthly rent statements and invoices.
• Manage payroll reconciliations and entries.
• Handle sales tax filings and related entries.
• Coordinate with stores on chargebacks and document uploads.
• Manage business licenses and permits.
• Support corporate income tax and indirect tax functions.
• Collaborate with auditors, prepare schedules, and provide documentation.
• Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets proficiently, adapting to new systems as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
