We are seeking an experienced and security-oriented System Administrator to join our IT team. Responsible for maintaining, configuring, and securing our organization's infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking, virtualization, and firewall administration. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as this role involves frequent interaction with internal users and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
● Manage and monitor internal infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and firewalls.
● Administer and maintain systems such as VMware/Hyper-V and backup solutions.
● Configure and maintain network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) with a focus on security best practices.
● Apply security patches, hardening procedures, and proactively monitor for threats and vulnerabilities.
● Respond to technical system support tickets and incidents in a timely and customer-focused manner.
● Document system configurations, processes, and procedures clearly and accurately.
● Collaborate with other IT staff to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
● Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
Requirements● 3–5 years of experience in a system/network administration role.
● Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
● Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and hardware.
● Proficiency in managing firewalls.
● Strong knowledge of security best practices and system hardening techniques.
● Familiarity with Microsoft and/or Linux server environments.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
● Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and security awareness.
● Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
● Collaborative team player with strong customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
● Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
● Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
