What you will do

As a team member of the iMPACT Fly Team, you will be responsible for traveling to and assisting JCI Customers at all levels of building automation system programming, checkout, and commissioning.

This role is specific to large, complex global customers that require a high degree of technical expertise, the ability to travel, an appreciation for process during commissioning, and an owner's mindset regarding work quality.

You will validate hardware and software commissioning activities for building automation systems, applying your advanced HVAC & Building Automation experience on assigned projects. You will work directly with multiple project teams to assist Project Managers and Field Technicians.

This role requires a sense of ownership and pride in supporting large, complex customers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Loads system-level controller software.
  • Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) and completes all documentation.
  • Informs management, contractors, or customers of progress and issues.
  • Calibrates systems using basic electronic test equipment.
  • Completes administrative tasks like timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Documents changes for as-built records.
  • Communicates with contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the site.
  • Follows all safety standards and attends safety training, prioritizing employee and subcontractor safety.
  • REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems.
    • Low voltage/120V wiring skills preferred.
    • Valid driver's license with no major or frequent violations.
    • Basic understanding of electrical circuitry related to HVAC controls.
