We believe in fostering environments where students can build confidence and develop the skills necessary to succeed in school and beyond.Position OverviewWe are actively seeking dynamic and engaging facilitators to support Young Men's Group programming in NYC schools. We're dedicated to providing mentorship, leadership training, and opportunities for academic and personal growth to young men. Facilitators will lead interactive sessions focused on leadership, and community building, working closely with students, educators, and school partners to create impactful experiences.Who You AreEngaging, resilient, flexible, proactive, and punctual— these are just a few of the characteristics you should possess as a Young Men's Group Facilitator. Your dedication to learning and growth is unmatched, and you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging, student-centered workshops focused on leadership development and mentorship.
• Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students.
• Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and school communities.
• Adapt facilitation style to meet various learning needs and classroom dynamics.
• Utilize TLP's curriculum framework, incorporating experiential learning techniques.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to align programming with student needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and submit program documentation as required.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Work on special projects and activities with students and community members.
• Be prepared to physically work in any of our school communities and sites.
• Uphold our standard of excellence by consistently showing up prepared and on time for every scheduled session.

Preferred Background & Experience

• Background in leadership development, mentorship, or youth advocacy.
• Experience working with youth in urban public schools or community-based settings
• Strong facilitation and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
• Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of different student populations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Multilingual candidates proficient in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Creole, or Bengali are highly encouraged to apply.
• Fingerprinted by the NYC DOE

CompensationThis is a part-time position during the 25-26 school year.After-school rates start at $130 for 3-hour in-person placements/residencies. Pay is bi-weekly.
