Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biochar Team Lead to join our innovative organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial plant operations, maintenance, environmental fields, and a proven track record of leading successful projects. The Biochar Team Lead will oversee biochar production operations, develop strategies, and collaborate with R&D, accounting, and planning teams to create sustainable solutions for soil health, carbon sequestration, and environmental conservation.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field workers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for biochar initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Manage biochar production processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and innovative technologies in biochar production.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance on biochar production methods, including pyrolysis techniques.
  • Optimize process efficiency and maintenance programs, including predictive, preventive, and corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment components.
  • Stay updated on biochar research and incorporate findings into projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Ideally a degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
  • Technical degrees in mechanics, electricity, instrumentation, and control, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in biochar production, biomass energy, or sustainable industrial operations.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation.

Essential Capabilities
  • Minimum two years leading industrial plants.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and establishing good working relationships.
  • Experience in developing and overseeing project plans.
  • Problem-solving skills and good judgment.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports and communicate effectively.
  • Availability to work on weekends as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
