We're helping people reclaim their dream of owning a home by taking advantage of assumable mortgages. These are low-interest loans that sellers can pass directly to buyers, saving them up to 50% on their monthly payments compared to today's traditional mortgages. Our platform makes it easy for buyers to find homes with assumable mortgages, and we guide them every step of the way.

The role

Roam is leading the way in the assumable mortgage category and has generated overwhelming interest and demand from the press and consumers. We're looking for seasoned full-stack leaning Product Engineers with strong track-records building successful products and systems to join us. You'll work with our team to design the technical underpinnings of Roam's assumable mortgage products. At the same time, you'll have plenty of opportunities to be hands-on building key systems, and will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale technical efforts as well acting as a technical mentor and leader for other engineers who will join our team in time.

About you

We value bold, self-directed people who carry themselves with urgency. Our team has a bias for action, a need for speed, and a soft spot for those who sweat the details. To change the way we buy homes will require courage and conviction. If you have both, we hope you will send in an application to our engineering role.

• Come with experience. You have 4+ years of experience as an engineer, and have been with a company from an early stage through growth. You have experience with Elixir, Phoenix, PostGIS. Any experience with geographic, or real estate data is a big plus.

• Act like an owner. You are self-directed and carry yourself with a sense of urgency. You know how to identify and prioritize needs, and do what it takes to ensure that urgent and important needs are acted on immediately.

• Comfort with fast-pace and constant ambiguity. We're an early stage startup, you'll constantly be navigating new challenges and need to be comfortable moving extraordinarily quickly.

• Player/Coach. You've built and developed a team. You're never afraid to get your hands dirty, but you can take a step back and think through strategic opportunities and solutions from 30,000 feet. You work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels.
