This position will serve asthe Facilities Coordinator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of NassauCounty and under the general supervision of the Association Camp Team Leaderand Maintenance Supervisor, the Facilities Coordinator has the primaryresponsibility for cleaning and maintaining the Association's grounds andphysical facilities at the DPF 4-H Camp, and will provide support to ensure thesafety of staff, volunteers, participants, and the public. It is the role ofthis position to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenanceschedules for the grounds and physical facilities at the DPF 4-H Campincluding, but not limited to: office areas, kitchen, dining hall, bunk houses,bath houses, educational classrooms, farm, storage areas, entrances, etc. TheFacilities Coordinator is also responsible for mowing; snow removal; repairs;minor carpentry, plumbing, animal care, vegetable production and constructionprojects; maintenance of equipment; set-up and breakdown for meetings and/orevents; and coordinating facility needs with the Camp Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor,and/or designated staff. Will assist the Association in ensuring OSHA/PESHAsafety regulations are followed. The Facilities Coordinator is also responsiblefor assisting in maintaining facilities and the water system while camp is openin order to meet New York State Department of Health (DOH) requirements. Thisposition will also provide back-up routine custodial duties (i.e. clean, dust,polish, vacuum, mop, sweep, etc.) and maintenance work at the local Associationoffice, as needed. This position will represent Cornell Cooperative Extensionand the DPF 4-H Camp to the general public, community leaders and governmentofficials in a professional manner. POSITION DETAILS:
This position is a full-time, non-exempt position, 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 commensurate with experience. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance and NYS retirement.
