About the Job:
Paid Media Strategist
Our client, in the home-improvement space, is seeking a strategic and data-driven Paid Media Strategist to create & own our brand's paid media strategy and translate those skills into real business growth. This role reports to the Vice President, Performance Marketing, and plays a key role in delivering qualified leads to over 300 franchise locations across North America.
As the Paid Media Strategist, you will be expected to create synergy between our brand's goals and our digital media efforts as we scale from $250M towards $1B. You'll design the framework and the roadmap that guides our agency partners, establish measurement frameworks for clear reporting, and ensure every dollar spent drives us closer to our $1B revenue goal. You will also begin the transition of our paid media efforts from agency-led to in-house management as we scale beyond $500M.

What Success Looks Like
Media Strategy & Planning:
- Build and evolve our paid media roadmap to support revenue, market share, and franchisee growth targets.
- Partner with agencies to develop full-funnel paid strategies including SEM, PMAX, social, display, local service ads, and video.
- Identify gaps in media coverage, audience segments, or channel mix based on performance and trends.
Agency Management & Accountability:
- Serve as the internal owner of media performance, holding agencies accountable to benchmarks (CPL, CTR, ROAS, brand lift).
- Facilitate reviews, optimize proactively, and recommend budgets.
- Align agency execution with internal initiatives and local needs.
Landing Page and Experience Alignment:
- Identify experience gaps and work cross-functionally to improve conversions.
- Provide input on creative, messaging, and user flow.
Media Insights & Improvements:
- Build measurement frameworks tracking performance to business outcomes.
- Translate media data into actionable insights for teams and franchise owners.
- Partner with analytics to refine dashboards using tools like Power BI and Salesforce.
Performance Marketing Results:
- Increase digital lead generation by 15%+ YoY.
- Design and execute pilot campaigns to improve ROI/ROAS.
Internal Education & Future Planning:
- Build confidence among franchise owners through case studies on ROI.
- Lay groundwork for in-house media transition, including skill requirements and playbooks.
Who You Are and What You Bring
Strong Education & Life Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, data science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Digital Marketing Experience:
- Performance marketer with experience across platforms like Google, Yahoo, Bing, CTV/OTT, Display, Remarketing, Social, Email.
- Built and scaled campaigns, managed budgets over $300k/month, and improved performance across multiple platforms.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
Data Analysis & Storytelling:
- Perform advanced data analysis, build reports, forecast, and provide trend insights.
- Strong visualization skills and ability to derive actionable insights.
Strategic Thinking:
- Creative problem-solver with success in impactful B2C campaigns that deliver measurable results.
