Firewall Engineer
: Job Details :

We are seeking a skilled Firewall Administrator to support and enhance our network security infrastructure. This role requires in-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, cybersecurity principles, and the ability to respond effectively to network threats and incidents.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting)
• Experience with firewall technologies and architectures, including:
• Stateful inspection
• Next-generation firewalls (NGFW)
• Layer 7 (L7) filtering
• Proficiency with security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS)
• Skilled in using network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
• Command line interface (CLI) proficiency
• Familiarity with log analysis and SIEM tools

Security Knowledge

• Solid understanding of core cybersecurity principles
• Awareness of threat intelligence, common attack vectors, and mitigation strategies
• Experience with risk assessment and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with incident response procedures and best practices
• Check Point
• VMware NSX-T
• Zscaler

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
• Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure during security incidents
• Collaborative team player with experience working across technical and non-technical teams
