Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit grant invoices while ensuring compliance with funder guidelines.
  • Provide financial oversight for grant-funded projects and monitor expenditures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain organized documentation for efficient access and audit readiness.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant budgets and monitor awarded grant expenditures.
  • Generate budget-to-actual grant spending reports and financial narratives.
  • Post daily cash receipts for grant-related payments and manage accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Review and approve grant-related expenditures and monitor personnel costs allocated to grants.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for grant-related audits and assist in year-end financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial transparency and adherence to regulations.
  • Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on nonprofit or government grant accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar major accounting software.
  • Experience with online timekeeping systems and grant fiscal reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, V/X-lookups, SUMIFS, Index/Match).
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and CFR 200.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
