TITLE: Flight Aircraft Technician SupervisorReports to: Senior Manager/Assistant DOMJob SummaryThe Flight Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the flight technician team. This position ensures proper scheduling, training, and supervision of technicians, while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The supervisor also tracks hours, extra days, and per diem, and provides payroll reports for processing.Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate flight schedule assignments and ensure proper coverage of maintenance activities.
  • Supervise flight technicians during flight operations, ensuring adherence to maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to technicians, supporting professional growth and skill development.
  • Monitor technician performance and ensure quality standards are met through regular oversight and feedback.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Track technician hours, including extra hours, extra days, and per diem report.
  • Audit and verify timekeeping records and travel schedules for accuracy.
  • Provide reports to the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of technician compensation.
  • Support onboarding of new technicians and ensure all training requirements are met.
  • Assist with shift coverage adjustments during operational disruptions or technician absences.
  • Be available to provide shift coverage or operational support as needed, including on short notice, weekends, or holidays.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
  • 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency timekeeping systems.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
Additional ExpectationsThis position plays a critical role in maintaining fleet reliability and ensuring safe, on-time operations. A high level of attention to detail, technical expertise, and strong communication skills is essential.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.TravelThis position requires up to 80 percent travel, including weekends and holidays, overnight travel is expected. Responsible for AOG events and approvals in the United States.
