Field Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction - $90,000 - $120,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join a prestigious team working on a major transportation infrastructure project based in Newark, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a high-profile, transformative transit project while working alongside industry leaders in heavy civil construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support field operations by assisting with planning, scheduling, and coordination of work activities.
• Track daily progress, prepare reports, and help ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Work closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve technical issues in the field.
• Assist with material tracking, quantity take-offs, and cost reporting.
• Participate in quality control and safety inspections to ensure project compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or in a related construction role, preferably in heavy civil infrastructure (transit, rail, bridges, highways, or urban civil works).
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work on-site in Newark on a high-profile infrastructure project.
