ServiceSource is an organization of talented people who drive innovation, embrace change, and serve humanity.Job SummaryResponsible for performing cash and non-cash reconciliations, fixed asset management, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) renewals, allocations, and the management of restricted net assets. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and contributes to accurate financial reporting and analysis.Primary DutiesReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Cash and Non-Cash Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely recording of cash transactions. Post bank transactions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Reconcile non-cash accounts, including but not limited to prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, leases, HUD intercompany billings, and intercompany transactions. Investigate and promptly resolve discrepancies. Prepare Foundation deposit details for review by the Executive Director - Foundation.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate classification and depreciation schedules. Track the acquisitions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets. Conduct periodic physical inventories of fixed assets to verify records.
- HUD Renewals: Prepare and submit financial reports for HUD compliance. Prepare annual renewal documentation, ensuring timely completion of required submissions and adherence to regulations.
- Allocations: Calculate and allocate shared costs across departments, programs, or projects in compliance with organizational policies. Ensure accurate allocation of indirect costs to grant-funded programs.
- Restricted Net Assets Management: Track and monitor restricted funds to ensure compliance with donor and grant restrictions for all companies, with special attention to Foundation accounting needs. Prepare periodic reports detailing the use and balance of restricted net assets.
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Participate in the semi-annual Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system upgrade.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited U.S. college or university is required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, including reconciliations and general ledger maintenance, required. HUD experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail are required.
- Experience with monthly close in a nonprofit environment is preferred.
- Major ERP experience preferred.
- Experience with Workday is a plus.
