What You Can ExpectThe Application Engineer is a highly visible position and a key contributor to evolve and build exciting solutions for the grid-scale storage group with national and global impacts. By understanding the operations, the Application Engineer will work with a dedicated team in enhancing existing products and collaborating with cross functional groups to develop high quality and robust solutions.
• Initial responsibilities will involve a migration effort and understanding the various processes and custom applications.• Collaborate with a team that is dedicated to architecting, planning, designing and delivering enterprise level solutions for the grid-scale storage group.• Deliver new solutions in the cloud that can be leveraged for global and regional ingestion for models and analysis and also transactional activities.• Engage with cross functional groups and stakeholders.• Learn and utilize knowledge of storage operations for day-ahead, real-time, ancillary services, PnL, settlement, visualization, forecasting, modeling and compliance as it relates to the market protocols and operations.• Derive baseline requirements that will convert to valuable, robust, flexible, and quality solutions.• Potential development areas include comprehensive user interfaces, dashboards, reports, custom APIs, data integration, database, microservices and other areas that might be identified and prioritized.• Implement, enhance or recommend processes that provides efficiency such as strong development and coding standards and version control.• Provide immediate support, including non-business hours (rotational)• Explore and evaluate potential solutions and services.
