Drive Business Results
Develop, along with the Director of Sales, and deploy a territory Channel Development Plan to grow PTL's market share and enhance the quality and effectiveness of channel partners.Identify and actively pursue new strategic direct customers, and expand PTL's business within existing accounts.Proactively canvass dealers within the territory for potential PTL dealers and gather intelligence on competitors' channel capabilities.Communicate critical commercial milestones, process changes, growth incentives, and other notifications to dealers in real-time to ensure proper awareness of business operations.Report on competitor activities, including pricing, product development, and channel strategies, with supporting documentation.Implement dealer scorecard activities to set goals, monitor progress, and collaborate with dealers on retail growth plans.Assist dealers in creating and deploying plans to expand PTL's retail customer base and diversify market reach.Report on territory sales performance versus targets and develop plans to meet or exceed goals.Connect PTL dealers with appropriate internal resources for prompt service and support.Product Line Responsibilities
- Manage PTL Equipment including Extendo, Traverse, Carry-Lift, Speed Swing, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, and All-Terrain Derrick.
Product Knowledge
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of all PTL products, capabilities, and applications to serve as a product expert within the territory.
- Train stakeholders, dealer personnel, and customers to position PTL as a premium brand.
- Collaborate with PTL OE Parts Sales to promote genuine parts and educate dealers and customers on their benefits.
Experience and Education
- Minimum of 3+ years in distribution channel development, territory management, and account management.
- B.A. or B.S. Degree required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM/ERP software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant industries such as material handling, oil & gas, mining, construction, and utilities, including product design and applications.
- Mechanical and hydraulic system skills are a plus.
Additional Details
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with frequent travel (up to 75%).
- Work environment is primarily remote and field-based, with occasional site visits that may involve navigating uneven terrain and exposure to environmental hazards.
