Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join our team People Operations team as our next People Operations Generalist. This position is crucial to the smooth operation of our office and the well-being of our employees. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, able to manage multiple priorities, and possess a solid understanding of HR best practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Head of People Operations to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job descriptions, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist the Head of People Operations in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations by addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
- Partner with Head of People Operations on Mid-Year and Year-End performance evaluations.
- Partner with the Head of People Operations on training and development initiatives.
- Manage and maintain company SOC2 compliance with tracking in Vanta.
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a productive and comfortable work environment.
- Manage office supplies inventory, order new supplies as needed, and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs, liaising with building management and service providers.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for visitors and general inquiries.
- Oversee office budget and expense tracking related to office operations.
- Plan and coordinate company events, meetings, and team-building activities.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience as HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a high attention to detail.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong knowledge of office management procedures and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail, strong critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
