Location: 31220 West 187th Street Edgerton, Kansas 66021 United States Starting Pay: $72,600.00 – $90,000.00/year Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire Schedule: Open availability required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.ResponsibilitiesTheDepot Operations Manageris responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of services related to the inspection, repair, maintenance, and storage of equipment such as containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, and more. This role also involves equipment sales and the development of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of employees to ensure asafe and productive workplacein line with company standards and regulations.
  • Ensurecompliance with regulatory requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures related to depot operations.
  • Monitor operational activities and trackKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)to ensure they remain within acceptable standards.
  • Meet customer needs and commitments by effectively managing depot activities and maintaining high service quality.
  • Assist with the development ofgoals and objectivesfor the depot operation, focusing on production, profitability, safety, and compliance, in alignment with regional and business unit goals.
  • Monitor employee performance, provideconstructive feedback, and take appropriate action as necessary to maintain a productive workforce.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships withexisting and potential customersto ensure continued business and customer satisfaction.
QualificationsRequired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience indepot operations management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus onemployee developmentand fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations for depot operations.
  • Strong ability tomonitor and analyze operational performance, including KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Excellentcustomer relationship managementskills, with the ability to manage both internal and external customer expectations effectively.
  • Solid understanding ofequipment maintenance and repair processes(containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, etc.).
  • Strongproblem-solving skillsand the ability to resolve operational challenges in a timely manner.
  • Effectivecommunicationandcollaborationskills to work with internal teams, external partners, and union representatives.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening
      • The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited. If applicable for the position you are applying to, and if you are offered the position, you will have to take and pass a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing Depot/Railyard operations or similar logistical operations.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Strong coaching and team development skills.
Work Environment
  • The role involves working Indoors/outdoors in a Depot environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • The position requires managing operational challenges and overseeing staff in an active and fast-paced setting.
