JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this role is to provide proactive oversight of adherence to the post-acute best practices to identify and mitigate quality risks. This will include review of ordering practices; documentation collection and facility visit protocols. The Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist will work to ensure a collaborative method of identifying and closing gaps through integration of education & training.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively monitor high risk orders and documentation collection, reviewing for completeness, prior to shipment
- Utilize feedback from audit department to coordinate performance initiatives and standards.
- Collaborate with the audit department staying abreast of latest results and feedback.
- Accountable for tracking and reporting on quality assurance metrics for the post-acute business
- Collaborate with Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management and team as needed on ways to identify where there is influenced to reduce bad debt.
- Act as centralized source for all questions pertaining to high risk and non-routine orders, products or any other inquiries related to the order process.
- Creation and implementation of Best Practices Resource Guides through collaboration with leadership and managers in the Post-Acute Division
- QA Specialist to hold monthly education and sales training sessions (or more often as needed) in collaboration with Director of Sales Training to provide updates on principal topics.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development team members to identify educational and training requirements.
- Travel to territories as required to provide in-person quality assurance review, oversight, feedback and training.
- Create and implement education and training modules as needed on companies Learning Management Software (RXH Live)
- Assist in the coordination of performance improvement initiatives and standards.
- Provide expertise for clinical performance improvement projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain current knowledge of wound care, LTC, healthcare, billing and Medicare guidelines, industry changes in payment and regulatory industry.
- Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
- Attend meetings and in-services as required.
- Administer and uphold all the Company's values and policies and procedures.
- Continuously work towards the Company's goal and vision.
EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- B.S. Degree in Business Management or equivalent job experience
- A clinical degree is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in quality assurance auditing
- Hands-on experience in leading process improvement initiatives
- Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
- Experience with medical terminology, medications, medical specialties and treatment protocols highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and other relevant programs
- Proficient in the use of analytic tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires periods of time in which sitting, standing, use of hand and foot motion, vision, hearing, summarizing, focusing with frequent interruptions along with other physical, sensory, and cognitive sensory functions are required.
