Position Summary
The In-Plant Solutions Specialist supports large strategic accounts at customer facilities, providing excellent service to ensure long-term satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting with procurement, order placement, and managing MSC ControlPoint Solutions (Vending, VMI, Crib) to maximize value.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent customer service for order placement, quoting, sourcing, and logging cost savings statistics.Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including vendor-managed inventory, vending, and storeroom management.Determine sourcing strategies for customer projects, collaborating with the Category Team to support savings and shop floor improvements.Participate in customer meetings, strategic projects, and Lean/Six Sigma events.Collaborate with the account team to enhance customer satisfaction and future opportunities.Resolve on-site product and service issues, providing sales solutions and consulting with suppliers.Ensure customer satisfaction and account retention using all available tools.Communicate customer concerns to management for effective resolution.Work with vendors to locate products, produce quotes, expedite orders, and arrange training.Promote MSC Culture and participate in special projects as needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of sales, customer service, or inventory management experience required.
- Industry experience and military background are pluses.
- Metalworking knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
Skills
- Proficiency with computers, email, internet browsers, and Windows OS.
- Strong problem-solving, customer service, and sales skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Industrial knowledge is a plus.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10%.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
