We are seeking a dynamic DevOps Engineer who excels at creating efficiency and innovation within our organization. This role involves working directly with our central trading teams and is key in bridging software development and quantitative trading. Your responsibilities will include automating testing, improving application reliability, and streamlining the software development life cycle (SDLC) to support our quantitative trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development: Design and implement pipelines for testing, research, simulation, and delivery of trading software and data across various environments including co-located, on-premise, and cloud platforms.Tool Development: Develop and refine tools to support and monitor application performance, reliability, and supportability.Collaboration and Automation: Work with software developers, quantitative developers, and researchers to automate and optimize all aspects of the SDLC, from coding to deployment.Scalability and Maintenance: Develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable processes in collaboration with support teams.Efficiency Optimization: Partner with research and development teams to enhance system efficiency and scalability.Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience in a similar senior role
- Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Deep understanding of Linux environments and system administration
- Proficiency in Python and BASH scripting
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP, UDP/multicast)
- Experience with SDLC tools such as git, Jenkins, containerization, Nexus/Artifactory
Optional/Beneficial Skills
- Experience with trading systems
- Knowledge of FIX protocol and real-time market data
- Experience with Kdb and columnar databases
- Familiarity with cloud platforms
- Experience with host configuration tools like Chef and Ansible
- Experience managing servers in a co-located HFT environment
- Storage management experience
We offer a total compensation package including base salary, discretionary bonus, and benefits. The estimated base salary range is $175,000 to $250,000, specific to New York, and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
