Then the Department of Public Services administration division may be just the place for you!
The Vermont Department of Public Service's (PSD) Administrative Services Team is looking for a new member to join our close-knit team based out of Montpelier; there is also the opportunity for telework. Primary responsibilities include contract and grant preparation, routing, processing, tracking, and reporting. The Administrator will be expected to interact with other state departments, municipalities, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Attention to detail, an understanding of financial reconciliation and budgeting, strength-based customer service, excellent written and oral communication skills, proven ability to work independently and juggle competing demands, flexibility, and a willingness to learn are some key qualifications for this position. Experience with and/or working knowledge of Uniform Guidance, the Agency of Administration's Bulletins 3.5 and 5, quality control and assurance, audits, agreement drafting, Vision modules or development of detailed scopes of work are a plus!
This is a limited service position funded through 12/31/2026.

Environmental FactorsDuties are performed in a standard office setting, but may involve some travel for which private means of transportation is required. Some evening or overtime work may be necessary. Interaction with grantees, contractors and consultants through phone contact is required.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher AND two (2) years of work experience that includes one or more of the following: (a) administration of grants/contracts as a funder and/or recipient; (b) collaboration with community partners in the delivery of social services; c) enforcement of provider agreements; OR d) management of financial affairs or a governmental accounting system.

Four (4) years of experience that includes one or more of the following: (a) administration of grants/contracts as a funder and/or recipient; (b) collaboration with community partners in the delivery of social services; c) enforcement of provider agreements; OR d) management of financial affairs or a governmental accounting system.
