This position processes admission applications, conducts enrollment processes, and assists with the completion of all FAFSA/WASFA requirements from first term through graduation. All work is preformed independently with high level of accuracy and efficiency Essential Functions
  • Provide personalized assistance to students completing FAFSA/WASFA applications, including complex task such as Special Circumstances and Dependency Overrides. Exploring alternative funding sources, and understanding payment options. Guide students in understanding account balances, tuition payment obligations, Nelnet Payment Plan.
  • Works comprehensively with formerly incarcerated student population to assist with their unique needs, collaborating with Community Corrections Officers, Recovery Programs, Housing Programs, BFE, Working Retraining, etc.
  • Anticipates potential problems and explores solutions, alternatives, and recommends resolutions to meet certain criterion to set student up for success.
  • Assist students in using and understanding class catalog, class schedules, and first-term enrollment.
  • Respond to inquiries via face-to-face, virtually, phone, email/e-Chat, text, and other web-based methods regarding enrollments, financial aid, and other continual student support.
  • Assist students with determining alternate funding resources when necessary.
  • Update student accounts by processing student forms, documents and other pertinent information to complete transaction and procedures.
  • Serve as the interdepartmental liaison regarding the interpretations and implementation of program policies.
  • Foster cross-departmental relationships to effectively handle complex student issues and to collaboratively facilitate resolutions for students within established guidelines.
  • Independently conduct research and analyze data to identify program needs and participant eligibility for continued enrollment in the college.
  • Review student financial aid files to ensure accuracy by identifying inaccuracies and making corrections or recommendations when necessary to ensure student success and they are awarded accurately.
  • Assist students in understanding student account balances, tuition payment, obligations, options, and deadlines.
  • Inform students about college collection policies and procedures.
  • Manage/Maintain Calendly welcome center appointments and review students' files prior to the meeting.
  • Verify enrollment status, process Admissions applications, complete program research on behalf of students.
  • Independently investigates discrepancies (i.e.dependency override) and recommends corrective action for financial aid files for FASFA/WASFA applications.
  • Assist students with campus and community resources to support students.
  • Explain Nelnet payment plan deadlines.
  • Attend ENROLL NOW! Graduate Strong, and OC graduation ceremonies throughout the academic school year
  • Provide assistance and/or resources to students, potential students, and/or public regarding the various steps in enrolling college.
  • Hosts internal outreach events and tailor the event to intended audiences.
  • Assist in conducting monthly financial aid, admissions, and enrollment workshops both in-person and virtually.
  • Attend events at local high school events every quarter to ensure high school staff have accurate Olympic College contact information and resources
  • Attend internal and external meetings, conferences, and/or trainings.
  • Serve on internal hiring committees as needed.
  • Complete assigned internal trainings
  • Provide backup credit card transactions for Cashiering Office when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Proactive knowledge of mental health awareness training.
Additional Information Terms of EmploymentThis is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $56,880 - $76,608 annually. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union.
