Hybrid Flexibility, With a Team That Gets It

Work from our Irvine office + hybrid options. We trust our people to get the job done and to set healthy boundaries; our peak season caps at 55-60 hours, not burnout-inducing extremes.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses (experience with 1065, 1120, and 1120-S is a plus)
  • Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their prep work
  • Work with high-net-worth clients and family groups, including multi-entity, multistate structures
  • Research complex tax issues and assist with planning strategies
  • Participate in client meetings and help translate technical concepts into plain English
  • Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations
  • Assist in resolving tax notices and audits
  • Collaborate across teams (accounting, legal, family office) to deliver holistic solutions
  • Contribute to internal initiatives from process improvement to training newer staff
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA license (CPA-eligible or working toward this)
  • 3-4+ years of previous tax preparation experience
  • Solid technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information accurately
  • Strong communication skills - you can explain complex tax issues with clarity
  • Familiar with (or adaptable to) Lacerte, CCH Axcess, and SurePrep
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn, grow, and help clients win
Compensation & Benefits
  • $80,000 - $95,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
