Job Description :

The Office of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk (ARC) is recruiting for a Records Management Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the County Archives unit. This position supervises records management staff, coordinates archival projects, ensures compliance with applicable laws and standards, and provides expert-level guidance in the storage, preservation, and retrieval of County records and historical documents.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Travel Required: A valid California Class C Driver License is required. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County cannot consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

*Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Realignment Sales Tax Collections performance.

Experience Requirements

EXPERIENCE OPTION 1: Two (2) years of experience in an archive, library, museum or similar setting conducting archival and/or records management projects, plus one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.

EXPERIENCE OPTION 2: Three (3) years in a Recorder or County Clerk's office performing legal document processing, recording, indexing, plus one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.

Substitution:

Thirty (30) semester units in Archives and/or Records Management, History, Political Science, Public or Business Administration, or a related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience (not applicable to lead/supervisory experience). Transcripts must be attached if you do not possess a degree.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or higher, experience leading staff responsible for records, knowledge of San Bernardino County history, research skills, and the ability to build positive relationships.
