This occupation requires the regular or periodic performance of work described in all of the following job descriptions: Industrial Radiographer, Inspector - Magnetic and Fluorescent Penetrant, Inspector - Ultrasonic. A candidate is required to have the following levels of experience and/or training: 1. Any four of the following Level 2 experience: a. Documented experience performing magnetic particle inspections for six months. b. Documented experience performing fluorescent penetrant inspections for six months. c. Documented experience performing eddy current inspections for six months. d. Documented experience performing ultrasonic inspections for twelve months. e. Documented experience performing X-ray inspections for twelve months. OR 2. Successful completion of a high quality industrial based training program or a military training program specializing in nondestructive testing and inspection. These training programs must include all skills listed above in Paragraph 1, and must meet the documented OJT requirement hours required in NAS 410 for level 2 certifications in 4 disciplines. NOTE: Level 2 certification per PM8006 or equivalent in a minimum of 4 NDI disciplines is required. Must also have documented evidence of ability to read and interpret detail assembly and installation blueprints as demonstrated by passing the blueprint reading test.
Composites experience especially on F35 and F22 all five NDI methods: Certified NAS-410 level II in Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), eddy current (ET), ultrasonic (UT) and X-Ray (RT) methods. Eddy current most important.
