Work Environment:
- This position is based out of our Garberville, CA office and involves both office and fieldwork.
Your Role as a Lead Fiber Technician:
- Oversee residential and commercial installations, service/repair, and disconnections (data, video, phone) on customer premises.
- Assist supervisors and technicians with escalations and specialized work orders.
- Ensure and document correct RF and signal levels within specifications.
- Maintain communication with leadership and dispatch as needed.
- Educate customers about services and technology.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Technician in the Telecommunications industry (6+ months of satisfactory metrics with Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) network experience preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and time management abilities, along with basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with power tools and the ability to read and interpret NIMS and AutoCAD maps.
- Familiarity with phone/IP networks and POS systems, and a clear ability to communicate differences effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record per company policy is required.
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

The salary range for this position, along with opportunities for bonuses and benefits, is: Lead Fiber Technician: $26.80 - $37.52 per hour.
