Pathology Lab Assistant (Medical Labs)

Responsible for processing samples for Laboratory analysis, verifying test completion in the Laboratory computer system, and providing laboratory processing support to Surgical Pathology. Distributes microscopic slides and reports. Prepares tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis and stains tissue for Routine, Special Stains, and Immunofluorescence, as requested. Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures. Demonstrates advanced problem solving/troubleshooting skills. Maintains a positive and professional work environment. Performs laboratory test procedure. Position Compensation Range: $18.37 - $28.47 Hourly. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate's degree in related sciences OR completion of an accredited Medical Lab Assistant Career Study Certificate (MLA CSC) or certified MLA(ASCP) program required.
