Position Type: Athletics/Activities Date Posted: 6/24/2025 Location: Sheldon Elementary School Primary Purpose: Coordinate activities for the 21st Century Grant at designated campus. Assure that students and families receive access to an after school program that includes ,but is not limited to, opportunities that align with the 4 activity types per grant guidelines (academic, enrichment, family engagement, and college and career readiness) outside school hours, including before and after school, weekends, and summers. Assist the Project Director in successfully completing all planning, financial, programmatic, and evaluative After-School and specialized activities. Qualifications:
  • Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from accredited university preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in the development of school to extended day programs
  • Bilingual preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of fund development for school and community-based programs.
  • Knowledge of local, federal, and state guidelines pertaining to activities with youth.
  • Knowledge of community resources and potential partners for collaborative activities.
  • Knowledge/skill in facilitating culturally competent activities.
  • Skill in reporting outcome data for evaluation purposes.
  • Skill in designing culturally competent strategies.
  • Skill in education and youth development programming.
  • Skill in organizational, communication, public and interpersonal relations.
  • Skillin implementing communication and collaboration between and among various areas of the organization to enhance service delivery, program development, and customer satisfaction.
  • Skill in delivery of services throughout the learning community, assigned area, and customers.
Experience:
  • Three years of experience program implementation or management
  • Two years of experience in social work, family, or child services, or related areas preferred

Design, implement and measure assigned programs according to grant and TEA requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate between and among various areas of the organization to provide enhanced service delivery, program development, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead campus and community staff in implementing outside of school hours programs for students and their families.
  • Oversee program activities before and after school, on weekends, and during summer.
  • Collaborate with campus and district staff, community organizations, businesses, and other program partners.
  • Implement family education opportunities, including literacy, technology and workforce readiness.
  • Select, supervise, and evaluate activities.
  • Prepare and disseminate program information and reports.
  • Substitute for After-School staff to provide educational opportunities for students and their families when needed.
  • Perform other job related duties as related to the grant or local guidelines.

  • Establish and maintain open communication with the project director, parents, students, principals, and teachers.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.

  • Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and local policies and procedures as it relates to parent/family engagement.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
  • Meet regularly with the project director and others to assess progress and necessary modifications of the implementation of the after school program
  • Policy Implementation
  • Maintain current and in compliance with federal, state, and district policies and procedures.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Frontline Staff Working Conditions-Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: The employee is expected to maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing, moving small media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment are required while performing the duties of this job. *Salary is commensurate with experience *Minimum Salary $40,000 * Please note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
